Traditional spatial processors focus on producing a short lived wow factor, Sontia aims to create world class audio quality first and only then, adds the stunning enhancements and 3D effects.

Existing techniques such as cross talk cancellation and ancient ‘HRTFs’ result in sound that is quickly fatiguing to the ear and obviously artificial. Common processing techniques to make coding more efficient on low powered processors can incur high latency and poor lip-sync. Bass processing which thinks of all harmonics as simple distortion has to resort to cheating, by the use of heavy EQ and level compensation.

The result is a sound that is quickly revealed as substandard and ineffectual by any decent speaker system.

By processing sound in a way that is more closely aligned with how we naturally hear, you can do away with most of the artificial processing techniques commonly used.
